Olayemi Cynthia Akindele DNP, APRN. MSN, RN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Great to meet you!
I am a dual certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in mental health.
I obtained my nursing degree from Texas Woman's University, Master of Science from Walden University, Post Master’s degree from University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley. I went further to obtain my doctorate degree from University of St Augustine in Florida. I have worked with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults and geriatric population.
My experience is not limited to working with clients with schizophrenia, depression, PTSD, OCD, bipolar, sleep disorder, anxiety disorder, psychosis, personality disorder, neurocognitive disorder, disorder of childhood and adolescents, sleep disorder, substance related and addictive disorder.
A bit about my approach to therapy.
My therapeutic approach centers on providing holistic and patient-centered care while supporting clients on their journey to wellness. I provide safe, high-quality care in a non-judgmental environment to individuals or families at risk for or currently experiencing a psychiatric disorder.



I will work with you in planning your care to minimize the development of complications and promote function. What you can expect from our first session I have an extensive background in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I provide virtual/telehealth mental health services, particularly medication management, and brief supportive psychotherapy. Expertise's are psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents and the geriatric populations.
